Faculty of Science of University of Palacky

Faculty of Science of Palacky University has kindly agreed to host the tournament this year again. We are exhilarated to sustain the tournament on academic soil and express our warm thanks to the Faculty.

Faculty of Science of Palacky University in Olomouc is a research school with bachelor, master, and doctoral study programmes in mathematics, computer science, physics, optics, all branches of chemistry, biology, environmental science, and Earth sciences. Since 2009, most of the departments are located in a new modern building close to the city center near the area of university dormitories. Biology departments and several laboratories are localized at south-east outskirts of the city. The Faculty of Science is a school with high creative potential, a rich portfolio of original research results and a multilateral international collaboration. It is very successful in obtaining national and international grants. Many students, including high-school ones, directly participate in its research projects. Some of them have been awarded with prestigious awards such as the 'Czech Head' or 'Scopus' young researcher award. Graduates of the faculty are highly demanded at various domestic companies, public agencies as well as at foreign institutions where many of them continue their academic carrier.
