Jakub is 22 years old. He has debated in his high school years for Gymnazium Olomouc–Hejcin since 2004. He finished his studies at the English section of the school in 2009. Today, he studies CARITAS - College of Social Work in Olomouc. Apart from his activities within the Association of Debate Clubs of the Czech Republic, he also works for the Debate Club Olomouc (NGO) and for AIESEC Zlin. He devotes his free time to organization of free time activities for youth. This is fifth year of Jakub's participation at organization of the HOEDT.

In 2001, John has originated the Heart of Europe Tournament in Olomouc while he was teaching in Hejcin, high-school in Olomouc. He started debating while at school and university and was active in the Czech Republic where he taught from 1997 until 2007. He is very happy that the tradition has been continued because he believes debating among students is one of the finest ways of developing democratic thinking as well as creating many lasting friendships among debaters. Although he has now retired to live in Liverpool he greatly enjoys his travels around Europe where he still has many friends. This is the ninth year of John's participation at organization of the HOEDT.

Aljosa Polsak (Slovenia) Tabulation Officer tabroom@heart-of-europe.org

Aljosa is 21 years old, he is a student of physics at Universtity of Maribor. He has been debating since he was sixteen years old. After highschool he started judging and tabbing slovenian debate tournaments. Since 2010 he is part of the organising committee of world schools debate academy Slovenia. Concerning his Tab room carrer: all tournament are power paired. He was tabing International debate tournament in Ljutomer, Slovenia 2010 and 2011, World schools debate academy 2010, 2011 and 2012 (planned), Heart of Europe 2011, Slovenian high scools tournaments since 2009 (world schools format) and Slovenian middle schools tournaments since 2009 (Karl Popper format). This is the second year of Aljosa's participation at organization of the HOEDT.

Lukas is 23 years old. He had studied at the secondary technical school of civil engineering in Opava. He finished his studies at the Palacky University in Olomouc as bachelor in 2012. His field of study is Polish language in economics and law. He works for the Debate Club Olomouc (NGO) and the Association of Debate Clubs of Olomouc Region as Project Manager of University Debate Program. From time to time, he helps with organizing free time activities for youth. This is the first year of Lukas' participation at organization of the HOEDT.

Petra Hanackova (Czech Republic) Delegates Care and Logistics Officer petra.hanackova@heart-of-europe.org

Petra is 18 years old, she studies third year of Gymnazium Olomouc-Hejcin. She has been interested in debating since 2009. Currently she is debating in Czech and English languages. Apart from debating, she develops her managerial and organisational skills in other NGO's in Olomouc Region. She is also interested in singing and she is amateur actor and musician. This is the fourth year of Petra's participation at organization of the HOEDT.

Bc. Martin Rezny (Czech Republic) PR and Media Officer martin.rezny@heart-of-europe.org

Martin is 24 years old. He has been part of Czech debate program for nearly 10 years. This year he finished bachelor studies of media and political science at Masaryk's University in Brno. He works mostly as a writer, English teacher and debate lecturer, but in his spare time he is amateur actor and musician too. His other hobbies include film in general and science-fiction in particular, also fantasy, poetry, reading books and playing computer games, philosophy and mythology. This is third year of Martin's participation at organization of the HOEDT.

Lukas Burget (Czech Republic) Complaints Officer complaints@heart-of-europe.org

Lukas is 18 years old, he studies the third year of Gymnazium Kojetin. He has been interested in debating since 2007. Currently he is debating in Czech language. Lukas is also managing ADC OLR projects such as Debatics or Olomouc Open Cup. Apart from debating, he develops his managerial and organisational skills in other NGO's in Olomouc Region. Lukas is also interested in motorbikes, fishing and hunting. This is second year of Lukas's participation at organization of the HOEDT.

Klara Ligurska (Czech Republic) Complaints Officer complaints@heart-of-europe.org

Klara is 18 years old, she studies the third year of Gymnazium Kojetin. She has been interested in debating since 2007. Currently, she is debating in Czech language and she also takes part in other events organized by ADC OLR. Apart from debating, she develops her communication skills at recitation and rhetorical competitions. Klara is also interested in singing, guitar playing, jogging and cycling. This is the second year of Klara´s participation at organization of the HOEDT.
